ARIR, the only association specialized in Investor Relations from Romania, a community of companies listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), organizes the fifth edition of the ARIR’s Annual Forum, on June 9th, with a high-level presence.
The central topic of the event is Romanian Capital Market Joining Forces – Aligned Towards Innovation, as the core purpose of the Forum is to analyse the joint efforts of listed companies, the Bucharest Stock Exchange and the Romanian state to reach new milestones in regards of the capital market. ARIR will bring to the same table both the top management of the largest companies in the country listed one the Bucharest Stock Exchange and representatives of the government institutions, in order to facilitate another step in the development of the capital market.
The attendees will have the chance to find out more about Romania’s process of accession to OECD, innovation in Investor Relations and key hot topics that involve companies listed on both the main market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange and the AeRO market.
The event represents an opportunity to connect with capital market stakeholders, to discuss the current challenges of issuers and best practices.
Forum by ARIR is a discussion space that brings together around 100 people that are active or interested in the capital market. The format is one of an interactive conference, in which the audience can attend to panel discussions, guest speeches, Q&A sessions and roundtables.

Is a partner and member of the investment committee of a private equity fund with branches in Luxembourg and Bucharest. For 5 years, he was professor at the Sorbonne University in Paris where he taught a course in Monetary Policy and a course in private equity. Mihai Precup graduated from a private equity doctoral program that was co-sponsored by the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne and the University of Timișoara. Furthermore, Mihai Precup graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and a master’s degree in financial engineering from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne. For several years, he was an advisor to the Vice President of the European Investment Bank, his responsibilities being related to South East Europe (Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania and FYROM). Mihai Precup has extensive connections with the financial and business world at EU level and beyond and is passionate about Romania’s long-term development.
Ştefan Nanu started his career in 1998 in the Ministry of Finance, in the State Treasury and Public Debt Management department. He gradually evolved to the position of general director of the Treasury. Between 2009 and 2013, he was the representative of Romania at the World Bank in Washington, after which he returned to the same position, as General Director of the Treasury.
Ștefan Nanu holds a Master’s Degree in Management of Public Institutions from the Academy of Economic Science (Bucharest) and has completed a number of executive educational programs, including Harvard Kennedy School, Venice International University, Goldman Sachs Academy and others.
Is an economist with over 15 years of experience in the field of the capital market, successively occupying positions such as a broker, marketing director, and general manager of the Sibiu Stock Exchange (Sibex-Sibiu Stock Exchange SA). His professional activity also includes positions such as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Member of the Board. He currently works at the Financial Supervisory Authority holding the position of General Director of the Financial Instruments and Investments General Directorate. Mr. Ovidiu Petru graduated from “Lucian Blaga” University, Faculty of Economic Studies and he has a Master’s in Company Management and Marketing Strategies and Policies.
Is the Chairman of the Board of Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) since 2020. He has over 25 years of experience in the financial markets, holding several positions on the Boards of Directors of listed companies and being the 2015 and 2020 President of the Association of Asset Managers in Romania.
Is currently the CEO of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, a position he has occupied since January 2018 and has a career of over 20 years in equity portfolio management. Prior to taking up this position, Adrian was the Chief Investment Officer for 5 years at NN Pensii, the largest Romanian private pension fund, and CEO at ING Asset Management, Bucharest Branch for 2 years. He is a member of the CFA Institute since 2009.
Marius Ștefan is CEO and Founder of Autonom, an integrated provider of mobility and financing services.
Marius Stefan graduated from the MBA program of the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. Marius is a strong supporter of education and entrepreneurship. 10 years ago, together with his brother, Dan Ștefan, he developed the Autonom Foundation – a unique initiative with a decentralized decision-making system. In 2022, over 2,00 educational projects were initiated and supported by the Foundation, reaching a total of 840. Currently, Marius is president of Romanian Business Leaders, chairman of the Endeavor Romania board and member of the Teach for Romania board. He was elected member of the Supervisory Board of OMV Petrom, the largest company listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange) and is a consultant on the board of companies such as Secom, Dr. Leahu Clinics and many others.
He is a professional with over 20 years of experience in the financial-operational field, FMCG distribution, logistics and transport, and target management, working since 2006 in the largest leading company in integrated distribution and logistics services for the consumer goods market in Romania and the Republic of Moldova, AQUILA. Within AQUILA, he coordinated the financial department for 14 years, holding the position of Financial Director, and is currently Director of Investor Relations within the same company. Also, between 2001-2004 he was financial controller, Exploration and Production Division: international exposure within Rompetrol, and between 2004-2006 within ING Bank he held the position of Corporate Relations Manager.
He coordinates the activity of the structures: Financial Markets, Securities, Financial Markets Operations Support Office, Market Analysis Office. Between 1992 and 1993, he was a sales manager in the field of communications products. He has worked within BRD since 1993, and filled in the positions of Treasury Officer, FX technical analyst, FX trader, Treasury Deputy Manager, Market Operations Manager and Executive Officer of Financial Markets.
He graduated from the Economic Studies Academy, Cybernetics Faculty, in 1992, as well as from numerous management and leadership training courses organised both by Société Générale and other banking institutions: Nomura Bank (London), Bank of America (San Francisco), or the Montreal University and London Business School. He graduated from the Executive Master of Business Administration – ASEBUSS BUCHAREST / UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON, USA. Since October 2, 2008, he has been a Deputy CEO.
Is the CEO of BRK Financial Group, holding this position since 2019. She has an experience of over 25 years on the Romanian capital market, holding management positions in financial investment services companies, such as: Delta Valori Mobiliare and SSIF Blue Rock Financial Services, and within some capital market institutions, among which: Depozitarul Sibex, Casa Română de Compensație, Fondul de Compensare a Investitorilor și Bursa Monetar-Financiar și de Mărfuri Sibiu.
Coordinating the Investor Relations function within BRK, she has significantly contributed to the implementation of best practices in the relation with investors and this mandate, she aims to expand the membership base by promoting ARIR among issuers and potential issuers.
Peter de Boer is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Business Administration at Leiden University, The Netherlands, as well as the financial evaluation and modeling course at CFI Corporate Financial Institute. He has been part of the DN AGRAR team since 2019, as a Strategic Corporate Financial Manager and Investor Relations Manager. Thanks to experience Peter is in charge of leading the administrative departments of the group of DN AGRAR companies and is responsible for establishing and implementing Human Resource strategies, as well as the strategy of digitization of the companies within the group. The implementation of an ERP system and management software for agriculture. From the perspective of the relationship with the investors of DN AGRAR, Peter is responsible for maintaining effective, constant, and transparent communications, ensuring a long-term partnership with them.
Alexandru Chiriță is a professional with considerable experience in the legal and energy fields. He obtained a law degree at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest in 2008 and subsequently dedicated almost a decade to practicing law.
Throughout his career, he has accumulated extensive experience in advising on various legal issues, including commercial law, commercial transactions, and litigation. His deep understanding of the legal framework, together with the ability to develop and implement effective legal strategies, were essentially achieving the organizational objectives.
Its multidisciplinary background is reflected in academic realities. Alexandru Chiriță holds a master’s degree in European Law and Governance from the National Coalition of Political and Administrative Studies, a master’s degree in European Union Law, and a bachelor’s degree in law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest. Currently, he is pursuing doctoral university studies in the administrative department of the National School of Political and Administrative Studies within the National School of Political and Administrative Studies.
Before joining Electrica’s tour, he held the positions of Legal Manager and Data Protection Manager within Hidroelectrica. In these functions, it has formulated and implemented legal and data protection strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing disputes and disputes, and overseeing contractual negotiations. His legal competence and experience proved to be invaluable in the role of General Manager of Electrica, a position he has held since May 2022.

In the mergers and acquisitions sector, Tony worked at Freeman & Co. brokerage companies. from New York City and Silkroute Financial from London, but also within the investment banks Morgan Stanley and UBS.
Daniela is an experienced professional, with over 8 years of experience and demonstrated track record in capital markets, strategy, and communication, working for one of the largest listed companies in Romania – OMV Petrom and Electrica. For over 2 years she has been coordinating the operational activity of ARIR, collaborating with the 38 members of the organization. In her role as an IR professional, she was responsible for ensuring efficient and transparent reporting to the capital market, defining and managing the message to investors, and ensuring the company’s visibility and investor accessibility to the company’s management. She interacted with over 100 local and international investors and coordinated the organization of events dedicated to them, supporting management in conveying the company’s message. She is also Partner in a micro VC that supports start-ups in early stage.
Ovidiu is Senior Manager within the Financial Advisory and Audit Services department. Up to December 2020, he was a Senior-Manager in Mazars Paris for 8 years. Ovidiu has over 9 years experience as financial auditor and consultant, accumulated during various audits and financial advisory assignments with a focus on various sectors: Insurance, Banks, Real-Estate. Ovidiu oversaw the audit of large listed groups such as SCOR, AXA, AG2R-La Mondiale, etc. Ovidiu was involved in several advisory assignments and internal audits in which he performed risk assessments, prepared audit plans, reviewed internal controls, identified improvement areas and contributed to the documentation of the internal control manual.

Laura Negrișoiu is currently Director within the Sustainability Services team at Mazars in Romania, and in the same time, acting as a Strategic Projects and Internal Sustainability Director for Mazars Turkiye. She is committed to helping companies succeed in integrating corporate sustainability, regardless of their current stage in their sustainability journey and understands that intentional change management is one of the key elements in doing so.
Laura is offering sustainability advisory services to clients on the Romanian market while driving the internal sustainability program of Mazars Turkiye meant to connect sustainability to firm’s strategy and to its results, including through the B- Corp certification project. In addition, she has significant experience in managing high impact projects with regional and local dimension ranging from process optimization & automation to risk management, governance and internal audit. Her portfolio spans across a range of industries, from banking, operational leasing to retail and production.Before joining Mazars in 2016, Laura started her career in a Big 4 company and subsequently has worked in the operational leasing sector for a large international financial services group.
Laura holds a BSc from The Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, majoring in Strategic Marketing from the Faculty of Marketing. She is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Project Management Professional (PMP) within Project Management Institute (PMI).
Valentina Dinu has 19 years of experience in the field of communication and 10 years in Investor Relations and currently coordinates the Department of External Communication, Sustainability, and Investor Relations within the only nuclear energy producer in Romania, SN Nuclearelectrica SA, a position she has held since 2014, being responsible for Nuclearelectrica’s integrated communication with all categories of stakeholders, including the company’s positioning on the capital market from the perspective of ensuring the strategic function of investor relations. Valentina joined the Nuclearelectrica team in 2009, having previously worked in the university system and the press in the field of communication and project management. In her current position at SNN, Valentina won the BVB award for the best IR strategy, being also awarded by Capital magazine for her excellence in communication management. From the position of IRO, Valentina met with institutional investors and participated in dedicated events in London, Prague, New York, Bucharest, Zagreb, Stegersbach.
Alina Popa graduated from Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, Faculty of Accounting and Information System and is a member of ACCA ( Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). She started her career at Deloitte Audit Romania. Alina Popa joined OMV Petrom in 2006 and has held leadership positions and finance functions, coordinating important projects in the financial field. Between 2015 and 2019, she has been the General Manager and President of the Board of Directors of OMV Petrom Global Solutions, the Shared Service Center of OMV Group. She was appointed Chief Financial Officer and member of the OMV Petrom Executive Board of April 17, 2019.
A professional with extensive experience in Investor Relations, Internal Audit, Financial Controlling, and M&A, oriented on looking behind the numbers to identify value-adding opportunities and risk mitigation solutions. Gained invaluable insight into working in various industries: Wine and Agribusiness, Manufacturing, Telecommunications, and Advisory. Eugeniu Baltag holds a degree in Finance from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, is an ACCA fellow (“FCCA”), is Certified in Investor Relations (“CIR”) from the IR Society UK, has a WSET Level 2 Award in Wines from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust.
After 20 years in banking, Andrei started a new life journey in 2018, ready to experience new things, develop his skills and autonomy as an entrepreneur and support the innovation ecosystem. Since then, Andrei initiated Human Finance – a digital accelerator – and at the end of 2019, SeedBlink – an investment platform dedicated to supporting Romanian and European tech startups and their visionary founders.
Based out of London, Martin runs the EMEA Advisory desk within the Investor Relations, Broker Research, & Sustainability division of S&P Global’s Market Intelligence, providing guidance to Issuers with regards to investor behaviour and engagement. Over the 14 years + with S&P Global, Martin has advised companies on the full range of corporate solutions, including: shareholder surveillance, investor targeting, short interest, activist defence, capital flows insights, investor perception, proxy solicitation, and other bespoke offerings for publicly listed companies. Prior to joining the company, Martin was head of European research at the ratings agency and financial publisher, Citywire. Martin is a CFA charterholder.
Is an entrepreneur, Investor in Real Estate for 13 years and for 6 years in the capital markets. Being a long-term investor, I believe a lot in the growth potential for the Romanian stock market, especially of the companies in the AeRO market. I started to change my focus in the last 2 years from the real estate area more towards the investments at BVB, following very carefully many of the companies listed in the last 2 years. In the area of financial education, I am very active through constant contribution with free materials in the top Facebook groups dedicated to investors and organization of an event on the topic of investment in the capital market: Bootcamp Science of Money.
Alexandru Stânean joined the TeraPlast team in 2007, occupying, over time, different positions within the TeraPlast Group, such as Deputy General Manager, Director of Operations, in charge of external development. In 2008, he was part of the team responsible for TeraPlast’s IPO. Currently, Mr. Stânean is Chief Executive Officer of TeraPlast, in his third term.
Currently, Gabriel – Andrei Țecheră holds the position of Corporate Governance & IR Director within the company TTS-Transport Trade Services. Graduated in engineering from the Politehnica University of Bucharest and MBA from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH.
Remus Dănilă has been involved in the capital markets field for 15 years, both in the brokerage business and in the stock exchange environment. Between 2005 – 2016, he worked for the Belgian group KBC Securities in Romania, Belgium and Hungary, covering institutional clients active in the CEE region. Afterwards, he joined Budapest Stock Exchange as director for international relations. Since 2019, Remus is part of the Bucharest Stock Exchange team, being responsible of Public and Investor Relations as well as Business Development activities, including the ESG related projects managed by BVB. He graduated the MBA program of HEC Paris and the Faculty of Finance and Banking of ASE Bucuresti.
Alexandru Dobre is a seasoned financial professional with a depth of expertise in equity research and a passion for financial education. As the current Equity Research Director at Tradeville, a leading European brokerage firm, he has spearheaded numerous innovative strategies that have contributed to the firm’s growth and performance. Alexandru holds a Master’s degree from Oxford University, UK. His academic background has laid the foundation for his success in the financial sector, enabling him to combine rigorous analytical skills with a comprehensive understanding of global economic trends. Alexandru was also the Co-Founder of E-Club Trading, a financial education platform dedicated to empowering individuals with the knowledge and tools necessary for successful trading and investing. Through this platform, Alexandru has made a significant impact in making financial literacy accessible to a wider audience.
Liviu Vatavu is currently the Legal Director of Antibiotice. The main activities it deals with are: providing legal advice to the company’s structures, protecting intellectual property rights, drawing up Internal Codes and Regulations and monitoring their compliance, drawing up and/or endorsing contracts, representing the company in the courts of law.
Johan Meyer is the CEO of FTIS Bucharest Branch and the Portfolio Manager of Fondul Proprietatea. He joined Franklin Templeton Investments in 2004. Prior to his role in Romania, he was Managing Director South Africa, and the Director of Africa Strategy for Templeton Emerging Markets Group. In this capacity, he was responsible for setting the overall strategy for his respective area, providing guidance and thought leadership, coordinating appropriate resources and coverage, and leveraging the group’s expertise to add value across products within the strategy. • Between 2012 and 2018, he carried out consulting activities in the recycling field for companies in Romania and abroad. • In 2019, he returned to Romcarbon, overseeing the recycling and polyethylene products sectors.
