Daniela Maior (Şerban)

Chairman of the Board of Directors

Daniela Maior (Șerban) is an economist by profession and has over 16 years of experience in the capital market, at the Bucharest Stock Exchange, in the media, at The Money Channel, and consulting. He initiated and led the project to establish the Romanian Investor Relations Association (ARIR) and is currently the President of ARIR. Daniela was Director of Investor Relations and Public Relations at the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) in the period 2015-2017, and held various other positions at the BVB since 2010. During her mandate at the BVB, she obtained from Biznis Polska the award for the Best Investor Relations Department in Central and Eastern Europe. As an IR professional, Daniela has met with institutional investors and participated in organizing events in London, New York, Tokyo, Warsaw, Prague and Budapest. He is currently a PhD student in Finance at the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies.

Ioan Șumandea-Simionescu

Vice President of the Board of Directors

Ioan Șumandea-Simionescu is currently Director of Sustainable Corporate Governance and International Financial Markets at Banca Transilvania. Ioan has significant practical experience in the field of corporate governance in the financial and capital market sectors. Also, Ioan has legal experience in the field of banking law, commercial law and capital market law, participating and providing legal support in numerous projects within the Banca Transilvania Financial Group, both in Romania and in other countries. Ioan is an associate professor at the Faculty of Law of Babeș-Bolyai University and a member of the Center for Company Law & Corporate Governance (UBB).

Liviu Vatavu

Vice-President of the Board of Directors

 Liviu Vatavu is currently the Legal Director of Antibiotice. The main activities it deals with are: providing legal advice to  the company’s structures, protecting intellectual property rights, drawing up Internal  Codes and Regulations and monitoring their compliance, drawing up and/or endorsing contracts,  representing the company in the courts of law.

Adrian Tănase

Member of the Board of Directors

Currently, Adrian Tănase is the General Director of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, a position he has held since January 2018 and has a career spanning over 20 years in portfolio management. Before assuming this position, Adrian was for 5 years Chief Investment Officer at NN Pensii, the largest private pension fund in Romania, and for 2 years CEO of ING Asset Management, suc. Bucharest. He has been a member of the CFA Institute since 2009.

Monica Ivan

Member of the Board of Directors

Monica Ivan is the CEO of BRK Financial Group, holding this position since 2019. She has an experience of over 25 years on the Romanian capital market, holding management positions in financial investment services companies, such as: Delta Valori Mobiliare and SSIF Blue Rock Financial Services, and within some capital market institutions, among which: Depozitarul Sibex, Casa Română de Compensație, Fondul de Compensare a Investitorilor și Bursa Monetar-Financiar și de Mărfuri Sibiu.

Coordinating the Investor Relations function within BRK, she has significantly contributed to the implementation of best practices in the relation with investors and in this mandate, she aims to expand the membership base by promoting ARIR among issuers and potential issuers.

Tony Romani

Member of the Board of Directors

Tony has extensive experience in the private sector having worked in capital markets for over 15 years and been involved in complex transactions across various industries and locations. In the last 15 years Tony has worked in the USA, Great Britain and Romania for auditing and consulting companies (PwC and EY), for clients such as Goldman Sachs, AIG Financial Products, Pinebridge Investments and others. In the mergers and acquisitions sector, Tony worked at Freeman & Co. brokerage companies. from New York City and Silkroute Financial from London, but also within the investment banks Morgan Stanley and UBS.
