VEKTOR 2020

VEKTOR - INVESTOR COMMUNICATION INDICATOR FOR LISTED COMPANIES

VEKTOR’s 2020 methodology comprises 15 criteria in line with international best practice in investor relations (IR) and has been updated to include feedback from listed companies and the expectations of institutional and individual investors. The VEKTOR indicator was calculated by ARIR for the first time in 2019. The analysis and evaluation of publicly available information, the website and the investor relations (IR) section was carried out by ARIR and a project committee, consisting of corporate governance analysts, IR professionals, academics, non-financial reporting consultants, between 21 November and 15 December 2020. The evaluation process was audited in January by Mazars, one of the world’s largest audit and advisory firms, present in 90 countries and territories, with 25 years of experience in the Romanian market.

Principles

1.

The proposed methodology is launched for public consultation until 31 May 2020.

2.

Listed companies have 6 months during 2020 to comply with the methodology.

3.

The evaluation will be carried out by ARIR between 21 November and 15 December 2020.

4.

ARIR, together with the Bucharest Stock Exchange and the members of the working group, will assist throughout the process to fully comply with the criteria.

5.

The methodology is reviewed annually between March and April and the assessment will be made annually between November and December or at any time at the request of a listed company.

6.

If the maximum score (10) is awarded to more than 1/3 of the companies listed on the regulated market, the required criteria will be revised, in addition to the original schedule, to bring the requirements to a new level of complexity.

7.

The proposed methodology aims at an assessment based on objective and clear criteria, including provisions on: investor relations office, corporate governance, transparency, proactive approach to investor relations, interactive IR tools, financial analyst coverage and non-financial reporting.

8.

The final score, ranging from 0 (poor communication) to 10 (excellent communication), will be published on each company's page on the bvb.ro website and aggregated on the ARIR website by the end of January 2021 at the latest.
