Aquila is the leader of the consumer goods distribution market in Romania, being active on the entire supply chain.

The company was founded in 1994 by the entrepreneurs Alin Adrian Dociu and Constantin Catalin Vasile and in November 2021 was listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), following an initial public offering worthing 367 million lei, the largest initial public offering carried out by an entrepreneurial company on the local capital market.

Aquila Group operates in Romania and Moldova, with an integrated business model that offers simple, customized, and complete solutions for customers. The company’s activity is organized in three business segments: distribution, logistics and transport. Aquila has an extensive distribution network of over 67,000 points of sale, well-positioned storage facilities that cover the entire country and the largest fleet of vehicles in Romania for land transport, as well as long-term partnerships with the largest players from the consumer goods market.

In the distribution segment, Aquila covers approximately 90% of the Traditional Retail and Organized Retail markets from Romania, having distribution capabilities for products from all temperature categories. In logistics, the company covers all specific services and value-added services, being present in the market with a complex infrastructure. The transport segment represents a complementary activity for the company, which allows strengthening the connections and supporting better our suppliers, with an emphasis on bringing goods from Europe factories in Romania.
