Bucharest, June 26, 2019 – The Romanian Investor Relations Association (ARIR), the only professional association for best practices in investor relations in Romania, announces the appointment of two new members in the Association’s Board of Directors, following the vote of all members of the Association.
Valentina Dinu is Head of Communication and Investor Relations Department at Nuclearelectrica and Adrian Șuța is Investor Relations Officer at Transelectrica. Daniela Șerban, Adrian Tănase, Ioana Bîrsu and Tony Romani are also members of ARIR’s Board of Directors.
Valentina Dinu, Nuclearelectrica:
”Setting up an Investor Relations Association was a necessary step in the context of increasing visibility of the Romanian capital market and I supported this project from the beginning. I believe that the communication with investors function has begun to be understood, also in Romania, as a strategic one, and thus the need to build a platform for the professionals from this field.”
Adrian Șuța, Transelectrica:
”ARIR is a new and necessary presence in the gearing of the Romanian capital market. The Association has begun to promote a greater openness of the issuers towards investors, supports the implementation of effective rules and mechanisms of good governance in order to provide the relevant information for investment decisions. I am convinced that ARIR will have an important contribution to the development of the local capital market.”

Valentina Dinu is responsible for the integrated communication of Nuclearelectrica with all stakeholder categories, including for the positioning of the company on the capital market from the perspective of ensuring the strategic function of investor relations. Valentina joined Nuclearelectrica in 2009, previously working in the academic field and media, in communication and project management. In the current position of Head of Communication and Investor Relations Department, Valentina won the BVB award for best IR strategy and was also awarded by the Capital magazine for excellence in communication management.

Adrian Șuța is Investor Relations Officer at Transelectrica, the leading Romanian electricity company, included in the main BVB indices. Adrian is an economist with more than 15 years experience in the company and over 5 years in investor relations, has held various positions in areas such as financial planning, financial reporting, investor relations and credit rating agencies, relations with the national energy regulatory agency.
Benefiting from the expertise of the new members, ARIR will continue to grow and become the main platform for Investor Relations in Romania and a tool for promoting best practices.
ARIR was set-up in November 2018 and has as members listed companies, companies with potential to become listed companies, fund managers, IR professionals as well as consultants. In ARIR are invited to join: as Associate Members – listed companies, pre-IPO or bond issuers, as Affiliate Members – other organizations than listed companies, pre-IPO or bond issuers, and as Professional Members – individuals with experience in investor relations. ARIR members have access to exclusive content and trainings tailored to their needs and objectives, and participate at projects aimed to develop the capital market.
